On Thursday, January 7th, four newspapers will contain full page ads opposing the Excise Tax in the Senate version of the health care bill.  The ads, paid for by numerous unions, call upon the Congress to adopt the House version of financing health care reform with a surtax on the wealthiest earners.  Please contact your senator and representative to urge them to oppose the senate version of the health care bill that includes this tax.press conference on the steps of the State Capitol on December 15, members of the unions in the State Employee Bargaining Agent Coalition (SEBAC) joined business, labor, education and advocacy groups to decry Governor M. Jodi Rell's latest round of proposed cuts. The conference was organized by District 1199/SEIU, a member of the coalition.
